Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Decor Sense LLC handles information in connection with Decor Sense 2D Floor Plan (“2D Floor Plan”).

1. Privacy at a glance

• Room scans, floor plans, measurements, project details, and photos are processed and stored in the app on your device.
• You choose when to export or share a plan, package, or photo and which destination receives it.
• Apple services may process information for device backup, selected iCloud photos, location and address lookup, StoreKit purchases, App Store operation, and diagnostics.
• Decor Sense LLC receives floor plans or photos only if you explicitly send them to us, such as in a support email.

2. Information handled on your device

Depending on the features you use, 2D Floor Plan handles the following information locally:

• Project content: project and floor names, room scans, spatial geometry, measurements, 2D plans, world maps used for relocalization, edits, notes, and generated files.
• Photos: photos captured during a scan and photos you select or capture for a project. Selected project photos are stored locally as an original copy, a normalized JPEG, and a thumbnail. Share and package exports use normalized JPEG copies.
• Property details: an address you type or review and save for a project.
• Preferences and access state: settings such as units, appearance, experience mode, and locally cached purchase-access status.

3. Where projects are stored

Project files are stored inside the app’s local Documents container on your iPhone. 2D Floor Plan does not provide Decor Sense cloud storage or an account-based sync service.

Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, app files may be included in a Finder backup or iCloud Backup. Finder backups are encrypted only if you enable that option. Apple controls those backups under its own terms and privacy policy. This is different from 2D Floor Plan automatically uploading projects to Decor Sense LLC.

4. Location and address lookup

2D Floor Plan asks for location permission only when you choose Use Current Location to prefill a property address. The app requests a one-time current location and uses Apple’s location and geocoding services to suggest an address. You can review and edit the address before saving it with the project.

You can enter an address manually without granting location access. Apple may process location and lookup information under Apple’s policies.

5. Photos

Scan-time photo processing and floor-plan image generation occur on the device. If you select a photo that is stored in iCloud Photos, Apple’s Photos picker may retrieve that photo from iCloud before providing it to the app. That retrieval is operated by Apple.

2D Floor Plan does not upload photos to Decor Sense LLC. When you export or share a photo, Apple’s share sheet or the destination you select may transmit and retain the exported copy under that destination’s policies.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

Annual subscriptions and one-time Full Access purchases are offered through Apple’s StoreKit. Apple processes your Apple Account, payment method, billing, purchase history, and subscription management. The app receives product information, transaction status, and current entitlement status so it can unlock purchased features, and caches the access state on the device.

Decor Sense LLC may receive sales, subscription, and financial reports from Apple as part of operating an App Store product. We do not receive your complete payment-card details from Apple.

7. Required-reason APIs

The app uses Apple’s UserDefaults API to save settings and local access state. It reads file modification dates within its own container to remove old app-generated preview files. These uses are declared in the app’s privacy manifest.

8. Information sent to Decor Sense LLC

Decor Sense LLC may receive:

• support or privacy-request emails, including your email address, message, and any files you choose to attach;
• App Store sales, subscription, and financial reporting supplied by Apple; and
• information generated when you separately visit the Decor Sense website, subject to the notices presented on that website.

We use this information to answer requests, provide support, administer purchases, protect the service, keep business records, and comply with law.

9. Analytics and diagnostics

2D Floor Plan contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs and sends no custom analytics events to Decor Sense LLC. Apple may collect App Store, device, performance, or crash diagnostics according to your Apple settings and may make limited diagnostic information available to developers. Apple controls that collection.

10. Apple’s App Privacy framework

Apple’s App Privacy guidance treats information processed only on the device and not transmitted off the device in a form accessible to the developer as not “collected” by the developer. Information Apple collects through the App Store, iCloud, device backups, StoreKit, Photos, location services, or diagnostics is handled by Apple under its own policies. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

11. Sharing, sale, and advertising

Decor Sense LLC does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use project content for targeted advertising. We may disclose information we actually receive when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transfer, or to vendors used for support and ordinary business operations under appropriate restrictions.

12. Retention and deletion

Local project content remains on your device until you delete the project or app, subject to copies in Apple backups, the Photos library, exports, or destinations where you chose to share it. Support communications and business records may be kept as reasonably necessary for support, security, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures for information we receive. No device, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

14. Children

2D Floor Plan is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our support or business channels.

15. International users

Decor Sense LLC is based in the United States. Information you choose to send to us may be processed in the United States, subject to applicable law.

16. Changes

We may update this policy as the app or applicable requirements change. The updated version will show a revised effective date.
